TELL TORBAY PRAYER GROUP
The Tell Torbay Prayer group meets at 6.30am every Monday morning. The next meeting will take place on 2nd, August, 2010 at United Free Church, Fore Street, Totnes. For more information about the weekly location, please see the weekly bulletin. There is also a weekly prayer meeting held at St Paul's on Thursday from 1pm until 2pm. CHRIST CHURCH PRAYER MEETING
1st & 3rd SATURDAY 9.15am until 10am
You are invited to join us for our next Prayer Meeting to be held in the Main Hall on Saturday, 7th August, 2010 beginning at 9.15am. It would be good to see more people there. We start with a brief thought from the Bible followed by prayers specific and general. For more details please speak to Ken Prior.
INN ON THE QUAY SOCIAL
There will be no meeting in August and we will recommence on Saturday, 4th September at 7.30pm. See you then and have a good holiday period!
LIFE SERVICES
We have now completed our six month Series on the Study of King David. Thank you to Mark, Ken and David who preached some quite brilliant talks during this Study period. Life will return with a brand new Series in September!
YOUTH WORK
Youth Work is essential in our two Churches, and sometimes we can feel unprepared or unsure of how to run a Youth event. The Diocese of Exeter is offering a Youth training day, run by a Diocesan advisor on Saturday, 4th December, 2010 in Christ Church Main Hall. However, we do need a minimum of 8 Youth Leaders for this event to run, free of charge. Once you have signed up for the event attendance is compulsory, otherwise a charge will be incurred to cover the costs. If you are interested in Youth training or would like to find out more about this please have a word with Sara Artingstall.
HOLIDAY CLUB PLANNING MEETING
A FINAL Holiday Club Planning Meeting will be held on Monday, 9th August at 7.30pm in St Paul’s Vicarage. It is essential that all involved attend this meeting. Please come prepared, having finalised your individual group plan and task in detail as we wrap up final preparations. If you would like to pre-register your child then please have a word with Mark or Sara. THERE ARE 6 PLACES LEFT SO BOOK FAST TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT! Alternatively, call 01803 522872 or e-mail the office. The Holiday Club will run from Tuesday, 17th August until Friday, 20th August with a Special Reunion Service on Sunday, 22nd August.
VISITS
Do you know of any person (sick, housebound, newcomer) who needs or would appreciate a visit from one of the clergy or a member of the congregation? Please give details to one of the clergy or churchwardens. Would you be interested in helping with visiting? Please sign the list at the back of the church, e-mail us at the office, or inform the clergy, and we will come back to you. Thank You.
FRIENDSHIP GROUP
The Friendship Group held on Monday afternoons in the Church Hall has now finished for it's Summer break. It will re-open on Monday, 6th September, 2010 and we will look forward to seeing you again soon. We hope you will all have a lovely summer!
