We plan to hold our next Alpha Course, starting on Wednesday 19th September, at 7.30 in St Paul's Church, Preston.
If you have been thinking perhaps there's more to life and would like the opportunity to explore what the Bible has to say about God, why not come along?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith and is designed for people who don't yet believe but would like to have the chance to think about it.
The talks are around thirty minutes and designed to engage and inspire conversation.
Each week it explores the big issues around faith and unpacks the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from
Probably the most important part is the chance to share thoughts and ideas and simply discuss it in a small group. There's no obligation to say anything and there's nothing you can't say (seriously!). It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
Here's the programme:
Week 1 Is there more to life than this?
Week 2 Who is Jesus?
Week 3 Why did Jesus die?
Week 4 How can I have faith?
Week 5 Why and how should I pray?
Week 6 Why should I read the Bible?
Week 7 How does God guide us?
Day away Who is the Holy Spirit?
Week 8 How can I resist evil?
Week 9 Does God heal today?
Week 10 What about the church?
So why not give it a try - the worst that could happen is that you hate it and then all that's happened is you wasted an evening, but you might just discover that there really is a God and that He's interested in you - now that really would be worth risking an evening for!
If you would like to book your place, or maybe just have an initial chat about it, please give me a call or click here to send me an email.
